When Kate first reached out 7 months ago about photographing her wedding, she included “We’re Christians too! :)” She works alongside a friend in my community group, Claire who spoke so highly of Kate and I was eager to chat with her on the phone.
Kate and Matthew get married in less than thiry days so when severe thunderstorm warnings tempted to keep us from photographing their session I started to get nervous. Dallas has had such unpredictable weather lately, making this spring season a little iffy.
We chose Perkins chapel on SMU’s campus because it was close to Kate’s stylist. She had her hair and makeup trial for the big day, right before the engagement session. This was the big reason we pushed to keep the session and the weather held out! Praise God! It was a record high for May in Texas but these two didn’t complain for a second.
Kate and Matthew are tying the knot this summer at The Orchard in Azle and I cannot wait to be a part of their day alongside planners at Each and Every Detail.
If you are looking for a tea length dress similar to Kate’s, I stumbled on this one that would be perfect for a rehearsal dinner, showers, or engagement session.
