In March, I photographed Christian + Megan’s wedding at the beautiful Camp Hosea outside of Aggieland. It was my first time at the venue and my first time shooting a wedding after delivering my son, just 4.5 weeks prior. When I say I love my job, I mean it. ( But I couldn’t have done it without my incredible second shooter, Sarah!! TY!!!) Also, Both Bloom Floral Studio is amazing. These sisters are SO sweet and I loved getting to work my first wedding with them. Hire them!

Megan + Christian have been dating since high school, so this wedding day was long awaited and so much fun. The day started off extremely cloudy, windy and cold upon arriving at the venue but sunshine made it’s appearance just in time for stunning photos! Each of Megan + Christian’s guests, ensured they had a lively and fun party and celebrated them all day long.

The Venue

I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a place in central Texas. It’s sitting on acres outside of Bryan/College Station, enabling not only privacy for your event, but ample opportunities for photos outdoors. The chapel is one to rave about. As a photographer, it’s obvious to me the owners truly considered lighting and photography when building this space. The east side of the chapel has floor to ceiling windows, while the west still offers natural light with windows above, but also ensures your guests aren’t blinded by the sun during an evening ceremony. The front of the chapel has windows too, but they are higher to ensure those direct ceremony shots are sharp and not soft with backlighting. It’s a dream for photographers and truly beautiful. I also have to acknowledge the stunning bridal suite. It has the prettiest wallpaper detail with an Anthropologie primrose mirror and a large window for the best photo ops. It also is spacious with a separate space for all bridesmaid’s stuff that typically can crowd a bridal suite.
