A Timeless Celebration

North Texas Wedding, Weddings

Whitney and Blake celebrated their traditional, timeless wedding at Dallas’ Montclair Wedding Venue this summer. In the heart of Dallas’ suburb of Colleyville, this traditional wedding venue was the perfect spot for Blake and Whitney’s classy indoor wedding. The venue boasts a large terrace and vine wall, which offered the perfect shade for outdoor portraits and also had a beautiful indoor chapel, great for those hotter summer Texas months.

Elegant in Black and White

The wedding party stepped out in style, donning classic black attire that added a touch of sophistication. The bridesmaids wore elegant black dresses that flowed beautifully, each one unique yet cohesive, showcasing their individual personalities. The groomsmen complemented them perfectly in tailored black suits. This monochrome palette created a striking contrast against the Whitney’s stunning white strapless gown, enhancing the classic feel of the celebration and the traditional white roses and greenery added to the simplistic, yet breathtaking beauty of the day.

Highlights from their wedding day

Whitney and Blake waited to see one another until Whitney walked down the rose pedal lined aisle. The cocktail hour offered the perfect time for all the post-ceremony portraits and images of the bride and groom alone, while guests enjoyed specialty drinks and the celebration began. The Grooveline, one of DFW’s incredible bands, played music throughout the evening that kept everyone on their feet. Every guest was out on the dance floor, from young kids, to the Bride’s grandmother’s throughout the evening. The Montclair ballroom was the perfect space for such a fun party and the beautiful chandeliers, and tall floral centerpieces, added to the elegance.

Coffee and Comfort for Guests

To keep the celebration cozy and inviting, a charming coffee bar was set up for guests to enjoy. With a selection of coffees, this touch added warmth and comfort to the evening. Guests could sip their favorite brews while reminiscing about cherished memories with the couple, making the experience even more personal. Then, to end out the night, Whitney and Blake had a send off with white rose pedals, followed by a farewell in an vintage convertible mustang.

Photography “Unveiled”

To future clients, here are a few candid notes I will add about the images you see below. I was contracted for 8 hours of coverage and no second shooter for this wedding. 7/10 times I am photographing a wedding with an added photographer, but an incredible vendor team, planner and the closeness of everything at the venue, made photographing this wedding by myself really successful. I am really proud of the amount of candids and formal images I was able to add to this final gallery.

Something noteworthy if you are considering the Montclair venue, most people wouldn’t notice, but the gorgeous chapel did not have side aisles. I prefer to offer a more unique variety of angles during a ceremony, but this space just didn’t allow for that. However, people don’t mind traditional shots for the ceremony, and that is what you will get with this venue.

FILM– Okay, this is a fun one to any future client, I purchased a new film camera and brought it along for a handful of moments on this wedding day (which I sprinkled in below!) Analog film is NOT for everyone. It is really trendy right now and I have enjoyed playing with it in my personal life, but I am now considering offering it as an add on for collections in 2025. Ask me about it! It’s an imperfect and artful way to capture moments differently and adds it’s own unique style to the final gallery.

A Special Thank You

Whitney and Blake- Thank you for asking me to photograph your wedding day. You two are so fun and a cool balance to one another. I love getting to watch you enjoy one another after the ceremony and to see you be celebrated so well among so many friends. Your community seems really full and fun and the friends and family you have in your corner were so excited to celebrate this union. It was a blast to photograph! I love this job because of incredible clients and families like you!
