A Scottsdale Wedding at The Scott Resort

In the heart of sunny Scottsdale, Arizona, Paige and Critt (Christopher) celebrated the beginning of their forever at the stunning Scott Resort & Spa — a fitting venue, as it now shares their new last name: Scott. Surrounded by swaying palms, thoughtful details and loved ones, the Scotts exchanged vows in an elegant outdoor ceremony framed by the resort’s tropical-meets-Southwestern charm. The day was filled with so much joy, heartfelt moments, worship, family and friends as the two made their covenant at The Scott. The day marked not just a beautiful celebration, but the symbolic start of their new life together — perfectly aligned in name, love, and location.

The Cactus Garden

Earlier in the day, the wedding party and close family members gathered at the nearby Phoenician Resort, in the breathtaking cactus garden for a first look and portraits. The towering saguaros and golden desert light and red rocks provided the perfect backdrop for capturing timeless moments, separate from where all the guests were staying at the Scott resort nearby. With the desert landscape as their canvas and love at the center of it all, the Scotts’ wedding day was a seamless blend of natural beauty, joyful celebration, and meaningful beginnings.

An all White Wedding

To embrace the warmth and elegance of a Scottsdale summer wedding, the couple invited their guests to follow an all-white dress code — a chic and thoughtful choice that created a stunning visual harmony against the colorful resort backdrop. As friends and family arrived at The Scott Resort & Spa, the scene was nothing short of breathtaking: a sea of crisp white linens, flowing dresses, and stylish accessories added an air of effortless sophistication. The all-white attire not only kept guests cool in the Arizona heat but also allowed the lush greenery of the resort and the couple’s blue accents to truly pop. The coordinated look gave the celebration a dreamy, editorial feel — as if every guest had stepped out of the pages of a magazine — while also highlighting the unity and joy surrounding the Scotts on their unforgettable day.

Cocktail Hour

Following the heartfelt ceremony, guests gathered for a lively poolside cocktail hour at The Scott Resort & Spa, where the desert heat was met with cool drinks, laughter, and laid-back elegance. The couple, radiant and relaxed, mingled effortlessly among their friends while sipping on refreshing spritzes—their signature cocktail of choice for the summer soirée. Golden hour cast a soft glow over the palm-lined pool deck as music played and trays of light bites circulated. With the formality behind them, the Scotts fully embraced the moment, snapping candid photos with their closest pals, sharing hugs, and laughter, before being invited to enjoy dinner at the reception on the lawn nearby and dance the night away with a live band.

Paige and Crit- Thank you for asking me to photograph your wedding day. You two are my “dream clients” as I sometimes say. You’re genuine love for one another, your family and friends was evident throughout your wedding day. You both have an ease and joy and charisma that is undeniable and adds fun to every moment of the day.
