Okay, so I realize “Outdoor Summer Wedding in Texas” may have you thinking twice, but this outdoor wedding was truly so beautiful! I will 9/10 times prefer outdoor weddings because the lighting is usually unmatched (but always have a bad weather plan!)

Lauren and Quinn truly are the best of friends and now they are husband and wife! It was the greatest joy to be able to capture their wedding day this summer at Oak and Ivy wedding venue, here in North Texas. Lauren instantly made me feel like a friend, not just her photographer and her whole family was so generous and kind. Her wedding was the kind that made you just want to be a part of their crew. I knew immediately after meeting Lauren and Quinn, and photographing their engagement photos that they were an outgoing and super fun couple. Some of my favorite photos from this day, include photos of Lauren’s grandparents who she claims are her some of her closest friends. To her, family truly matters.

Lauren has a best friend since she was a baby who wrote and performed her first dance song and it had me teary eyed. Each dance throughout the night with her grandpas, the speeches, everything was so thoughtful and felt sacred. Lauren’s parents even surprised them with a row of cold sparks leaving the venue in their getaway car at the end of the night!

The Best Vendor Team

Working alongside vendors you love both as a photographer and as the client/couple, really makes a big difference on a wedding day. Getting to work with the team below was so much fun! Tzahhia of Keestone Events and Bess Ophelia especially made the day so great. Lauren and Quinn didn’t leave out any details! They had a coffee cart, soft serve ice cream, games during cocktail hour, a live band and so much more providing the guests such a fun experience and the dance floor was going all night long.
