A Fort Worth Club Wedding is my favorite kind. In the heart of downtown Fort Worth, Lauren and Heath tied the knot in a wedding that was as vibrant and lively as the people they love. With a ceremony in the same historic church where the bride’s parents had once said their vows and a reception full of lively music and colorful blooms, this wedding was a true celebration of love and tradition.
A Ceremony Steeped in Tradition:
The ceremony took place in a stunning church that holds special significance for the bride and her family. This sacred space, where the bride’s parents had celebrated their own union, was adorned with beautiful stained glass and unique architecture. The ceremony was a beautiful blend of timeless tradition and family history. I even recreated a photo Lauren showed me of her mom at the altar on her wedding day.
*Just a note for anyone interested in a church ceremony, they often do have rules that limit photography. I had to stay at the very back of the chapel behind all guest the whole time for this one, but the shots still turned out beautiful*
The Second Line to the Fort Worth Club: A Joyous Tradition
One of the most memorable moments of the evening was the traditional New Orleans-style second line. This joyful parade of guests, led by the bride and groom, wove through downtown fort worth, a few blocks creating a lively and celebratory atmosphere. I had never been a part of one before and it was so fun! The second line, consisted of the Ice House Band and all the wedding guests in their bright summer apparel. Once arriving to the Fort Worth Club, guests were greeted by Heath and Lauren.
Skye Floral absolutely knocked it out of the park with the most amazing floral arrangements and fresh blooms. The flower fountain in the terrace and floral install on the chandelier above the dance floor were highlights of the decor, creating an atmosphere that was both vibrant and inviting. Every detail of Lauren’s wedding day was absolutely perfect, from custom invitation suites with a watercolor of the church, to a custom logo, embroidered hats, art in the espresso martinis, custom koozies for guests and so much more. The evening ended with the most epic last dance, where Lauren and Heath were drenched in gold confetti to end the reception surrounded by their friends and family.
Lauren + Heath- Thank you for asking me to photograph your wedding day. You two are so fun and Lauren, you couldn’t be a more beautiful bride! Trusting me to photograph your day after photographing your brothers is such an honor. Your family is so incredible and your relationship with your dad is so so sweet. (Those were some of my favorite moments to document!) You two are honeymoonin’ in Italy right now and I am only a little sad I couldn’t be there to document the whole thing for you. Have the best time ever!
