A hallmark, hometown wedding for these high school sweethearts in Wisconsin

On December 21, 2019, these high school sweet hearts tied the knot in their hometown in front of their beloved friends and family. It was a snowy dream, and obviously not in Texas! Mary and I became friends our freshman year of college at DBU where she often talked about Pat. I had always hoped to someday make it to Wisconsin and visiting her home was the perfect holiday treat! Mary and her best friends got ready the morning of her wedding in her childhood home, that could be confused with any home from a Christmas hallmark movie. It was perfect, and the hospitality of Mrs. Dolan is unmatched.

It was a cold day, but the sun shined bright and sparkled against the snow. We did all the portraits in their yard, next to their big red barn. It truly felt magical! Their ceremony was held in the catholic church in their hometown and we made a pit stop at the river and the Charmant hotel for more photos after the ceremony before heading down the street to the most beautiful reception space.

Every detail was thought through with intention and was absolutely beautiful. The space overlooked the river with a beautiful pastel sunset. It was festive and full of holiday cheer, christmas trees, flowers, gourmet food, drinks, lights and all! Santa even made his appearance.

A year later, I am finally blogging this wedding, because maybe it will remind you today of seasons when gathering with people you love existed. Maybe it will remind you of hope we have in returning to days like that or even better the hope we have because of the Savior born this season. But maybe, just maybe you appreciate two people in love, saying “I do” to a lifetime together with their friends and family! I sure do!

I love the Campbells!
