Abby + Cole celebrated their Summer Garden Party Wedding on August 19 at the North Houston wedding venue, The Luminaire. Every detail reflected a bright, whimsical, floral garden party theme. Their day included lustrous, whimsical florals down the isle, watercolor detailed custom invitation suite, to a bright yellow and white checkerboard dance floor. No design detail was missed by the bride, Mother of the Bride and planner, Brandi of Laced with Grace.
Abby and her dad had their own first look before the ceremony and I couldn’t help but hold back tears as Abby shared a letter with her dad, that would have made any father beam with pride, joy and excitement as he marries his little girl off to an incredible groom. You could tell their love ran deep and he delighted so much in her.
The first look with her groom, Cole was shortly after and you could tell they had such a joy and peace seeing one another. I love that Abby + Cole wished to spend a few moments alone in the chapel reading letters to one another before the ceremony. When it comes to a wedding day, the bride and groom make the rules and I just love that they had that time just one on one without cameras or an audience.
Abby and Cole both had large wedding parties that celebrated them so well. I don’t think I had met a wedding party so excited to celebrate the bride as this group of bridesmaids. (Nor do I think I have been more in love with a set of mismatched bridesmaid dresses.) The girls danced to Taylor Swift all morning and sang The Chapel of Love song (“Going to the chapel and they’re going to get married..”) as they danced their way into the day of rehearsal. The day was full of energy and excitement and a joyful anticipation from the bride and groom. The wedding included over 300 guests, and there was zero hesitation for dancing as many guests danced right away after dinner, kickstarting a FUN dance party for the bride and groom.
Abby + Cole– Thank you both for including me on your dream wedding day. I hope when you look back at these images, they are a reminder to you of God’s kindness and grace and that they forever serve as an ebenezer to the love that you have for one another and the Lord. Marriage is such a gift and it’s so evident God has transformed each of your lives. It’s so evident you truly love Him with your whole heart. I am excited for the ministry you two will have together and grateful that yall have an amazing community, family and friends cheering you and supporting you along the way.
